The employer is an international company with more than 1,000 employees in Belgium localized over 50 sites.

The challenge

The HR Business Partner the company is looking for works closely with the regional managers to influence the talent agenda in order to drive specific business outcomes and goals.  The role acts as the key front-line HR partner for regional functions providing professional, pro-active HR services and solutions, and support in implementing any changes in people policies or procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- partner with regional managers (Flanders and Brussels region)
- working closely with the regional managers translating business strategy info effective people plans
- manage the recruitment of new talent and application of compensation policies in order to attract and retain key talent whilst working within corporate guidelines, supported by an HR Advisor
- responsible for a constructive social dialogue within the region and implementation of the employment legislation into concrete HR Policies
- implement specific talent development activities within the region
- to work with other HR Business Partners to undertake a rolling analysis of cross-organizational issues, and frame these in a way that shapes initiatives on improving people and change management
- member of the Regional Management team


- Degree level education, or equivalent, with professional HR Qualification
- Extensive work experience in the field of generalist HR, minimum 8 years
- Ability to influence and challenge the status quo at all levels within the organization in order to drive high quality decisions and outcomes
- Skilled in problem solving with the ability to evaluate and recommend suitable courses of action in new and varying situations
- Able to work in an independent, flexible and agile manner in order to manage conflicting stakeholders, priorities and deadlines
- Committed to continuous improvement, including sharing and adoption of best practices and putting the customer first
- A committed team player who will bring the HR team along with them by sharing a common purpose
- Communicate with all levels of team members, both in writing and verbally (Dutch, French and English), in an engaging manner appropriate to the context in order to achieve the desired outcome
- Experience of working in organizations with strong and demanding cultures
- Continuing professional development to ensure all standards expected of a HR professional are applied.
